Capstone: eSports
eSports: is a world that has been unknown to the general public has now finally caught the attention of mainstream media. eSports (Electronic Sports) has become a multimillion dollar industry where video games are played competitively. These video games consist of different viewing perspectives that revolve around unique gameplay objectives. Game types such as Real Time Strategy (RTS), First Person Shooters (FPS), Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), Fighting Games, Sports Games, and Card Games.
In my paper, I argue why eSports should be considered a sport. By explaining all the similarities in eSports to traditional professional sports the affirmation of eSports is apparent.
